TerrAfrica is a multi-partner initiative for scaling up sustainable land and water management in Sub-Saharan Africa by supporting improved programming across sectors and stakeholders. TerrAfrica partners include, among others, Sub-Saharan African Governments, regional and sub-regional organizations (NEPAD, CILSS), United Nations organisations (FAO, IFAD, UNDP)…
Since the inception of the TerrAfrica Partnership, some policy and investment priorities may have shifted while partners’ support framework and environment has evolved. Therefore, the World Bank and the NEPAD Planning and Coordinating Agency (NPCA) have commissioned a study. This study recommends a renewed common vision and development agenda for African countries and development partners to scale up action to address land degradation in Sub-Saharan Africa and outline the related support and coordination framework.
